The record
Every machine its own type
Motorcycles, off-road vehicles, snowmobiles and personal watercraft are vehicle types in their own right, and the form shows the fields that type needs. Mileage is kept in kilometres, miles or engine hours.
- A motorcycle gets the motorcycle models, and everything else gets cars, trucks and SUVs, so a Honda does not list its bikes beside its cars. A make or model that is not on the list can be typed in.
- Decode VIN works for motorcycles. For off-road vehicles, snowmobiles and watercraft, the details are entered by hand.

One name
A customer with three machines is one customer
The bike, the quad and the sled sit under one client record, each with its own service history, its own mileage history, its own quotes and invoices, and its own photos.
- Each vehicle has a tab for service history, mileage, quotes, invoices, inspections and photos, so what was done last time is a glance.
- Switch a machine to inactive when it is sold, rather than deleting it. Its history stays.

The shoulder season
Fill the calendar before the snow, and before the first ride Growth and up
Your website takes booking requests with a date, a time inside your hours and the vehicle, and each lands on the schedule as pending. You approve it with a bay, a technician and a time.
- Choose how far ahead customers can book, from no limit to six months, so pre-season prep fills before the rush.
- A request is not a booking. Nothing is confirmed until someone on the team approves it.

Pre-delivery
The pre-season check, written down Growth and up
Build the inspection you do: Yes/No lines, quality ratings, text boxes, brakes and tires at four corners, the fuel gauge, the odometer, and up to five photos on any line. It is kept on the machine it was done to.
- The odometer unit is Km, Mi or Hrs, and it adds to the machine's mileage history.
- The finished inspection prints as a PDF in the panel's language.

The work
Approved before the wrench turns
Put the waiting jobs on a quote and text it for signature. Each job is approved on its own, parts are tracked from Needed to Installed, and the work order shows Awaiting Parts when everything is on order.
- Send a part from the supplier's own website straight onto the job.
- A private status page shows the customer the stage and the photos without a phone call.

Write to the customers who ride this season
With the Marketing suite, build a segment from what customers were invoiced for and text or email it. Bill sled work under its own category and that category becomes a group you can reach in October.
- A sequence is a run of emails and texts spaced in days and hours, and you enrol the people in it by hand.
- Every email carries an unsubscribe link and your mailing address.

Where it stops and you start
Two seasons and a lot of different machines. Here is what MecanoPro leaves to you.

A segment cannot filter on vehicle type
Marketing segments filter on people, invoices and what was bought. They do not know that a customer owns a snowmobile, so reach sled owners through the category of service you billed them.

There is no storage module for machines
Off-season storage of a whole machine is not tracked. The Tire Storage module records sets of tires only.

Only motorcycles decode from the VIN
Decode VIN reads the US NHTSA database and works for passenger vehicles, motorcycles and heavy trucks. Off-road vehicles, snowmobiles and watercraft are entered by hand.
