MecanoPro AI answers the customer while your hands are under a vehicle.
It answers your website and your texts, helps your team find what they need on a record, and drafts the follow-ups. When a question needs a person, it hands the conversation over. It is an add-on, open to every plan.
- Do you work on Subarus? Can I get in Thursday for brakes?
- Lead created
- We do. We're open 7:30 to 5:30, Monday to Friday. Want me to have the shop confirm a time for Thursday?
- Yes please. And is my truck done yet?
- I can't see repair status from here, so I've asked someone at the shop to text you back.
- Handed to a person - shop alerted
A Monday, with MecanoPro AI
Nine moments in a shop day, and what it does at each one.
-
6:12 a.m.
A text arrives before you've unlocked the door
Customers text your shop number and get an answer. A number the system doesn't know becomes a lead, so the question doesn't wait in a voicemail until nine.
- It knows your services and your hours. It doesn't know a customer's repair status, and it says so.
- "Is my truck ready?" stops the assistant and alerts you. A person picks it up.
- When anyone on your team texts that customer, it steps back for 12 hours. A Resume button hands it back.
-
7:45 a.m.
Ask the shop a question in plain words
Before the first vehicle rolls in, ask the assistant about your day. It can look up client vehicles and the appointment schedule, and turn the answer into a spreadsheet.
- Conversations are saved, so Tuesday's question is still there on Thursday.
- A spreadsheet comes back as a download link in the thread.
- It works with your own permissions. It can't show you what you couldn't open yourself.
-
8:40 a.m.
Someone is on your website with a question
The chat on your website answers what the site is already asked - your hours, your services, what you work on - in English or French. The first message creates a lead, or adds to the one you already have.
- It only sees public information: your business details and services. It never looks up a customer.
- The whole conversation sits on the lead, with the device, the place and the page the visitor came from, and counts as a communication.
- It runs on your MecanoPro website, or on a WordPress site through a plugin.
- A lead who left only a name? It finds the missing contact details on the web. Every detail comes with the page it came from, and nothing is saved until you approve it.
-
9:05 a.m.
A vehicle at the counter, and gloves on
Photograph the VIN and the vehicle record fills in. Photograph the driver's licence and the customer's does.
- It reads the 17 characters of a VIN from a photo, so there is nothing to mistype.
- A licence scan fills the name and address fields on the client, contact or lead form.
-
10:30 a.m.
A customer calls back about last week
Press Catch me up on the customer's record and read a short summary of what has happened, before you say hello.
- It is there on clients, contacts, leads, opportunities and conversations.
- The summary is saved with the record. It tells you when something has changed since, and never regenerates by itself.
- It only works for people who can open that record.
-
12:10 p.m.
A message that has to be right, written in a rush
Assist sits in the message box. It reworks what you wrote: shorter, clearer, friendlier, or in French.
- Improve, shorten, fix the grammar, change the tone, or translate.
- Anything an assistant wrote is marked AI-written on the communication.
- On your website's content it drafts the French and Spanish from your English. They are drafts you edit, and nothing is overwritten unless you ask.
-
1:45 p.m.
A call that ran twenty minutes
With the phone system, the call is recorded, written down with who said what, and summarized on the customer's record. Nobody has to replay the audio to find the price.
- A technician's voice note can be uploaded and turned into a transcript too.
- Transcripts are private to whoever uploaded them and the AI administrators.
-
3:30 p.m.
An estimate nobody has answered
Every open opportunity gets a tile with a score. Analyze one and it adds a summary, a next step and the risks. Then it drafts the message that moves it along.
- The score is calculated by the software, not guessed by a model, so it is the same every time and costs nothing.
- The draft, by email, text or both, is built around what changed: a new price, amount or date.
- It tracks whether you sent each draft as written, edited it, rejected it or ignored it, with a report and a CSV export.
-
4:45 p.m.
A fleet customer, three trucks, one question
Ask the Sales Coach in plain words. It searches clients and leads, lists opportunities, and summarizes the pipeline and the recent activity.
- It sees how records connect: a parent company's purchases, who referred them, their reviews.
- It can pull a customer's full contact history.
- Any tools you connect through MCP (below) are available to it as well.
You stay in charge
A shop can only hand a customer to an assistant if it knows where the assistant stops.
-
It hands over when it should
Anything beyond your public information, like a repair's status, goes to a person. You are alerted, and the assistant stays paused until you resume it.
-
It never pretends to be a person
It will not claim to be human, will not write code, and will not discuss other people's details. An instruction slipped into a customer's message does not change what it does.
-
It reads. It doesn't rewrite your records
The assistants have no tools that change a record or query your database directly, and each tool checks what you are allowed to see before it answers.
-
You set the ceiling on spending
Monthly limits for the shop and for each user, and every call logged by user, feature and model. The website chat adds limits per visitor and a monthly backstop. If the provider runs out of credit, a banner shows and an administrator is alerted once.
-
Nothing from the web is saved unseen
Contact details it finds come with the page they came from, and replacing a value you already have is never pre-ticked.
Already use Claude or another AI app? Connect it to the shop.
Everything above is MecanoPro AI reaching out. This is the other direction: the AI app you already own calls in to your shop through an API key, and sees only what you've allowed.
- Nothing is offered until an administrator ticks it.
- It starts read-only, and an action counts as a write unless it says otherwise.
- Every call runs under the API key's own permissions and appears in the API call log.
- Switch it off and the endpoint and the extra tools disappear everywhere.
Today the first tool on offer is a customer's contact history. More arrive as the other modules register theirs.
See it running on your own work orders
